This 8mm Japanese Cedar shell has incredible powerful and well-balanced sound with solid attack and rich, resonant lows. An upgrade in this line of drums is the Linear Drive Strainer and MLS50B Detachable Butt Plate. The snare side head can be removed without completely removing the snares wires and tension settings. Another great upgrade not previously seen are the Hold Tight Washers that will not come loose from vibration.

The 9th entry into the STAR Reserve series, this Solid Japanese Cedar snare drum uniquely features the traditional Japanese woodorking technique, Uzukuri, creating a three-demensional appearance. Complemented by the beautiful oil finish, this snare derum produces a dynamically bright, powerful, yet focused sound. The 8mm thick shell is paired with the Customized Brass Mighty Hoop and Starclassic Bell Brass Wires, delivering powerful attack, rich and mellow tone, with crisp and dynamic sensitivity.
