For a lively snare with incredible clarity, you can't go wrong with the TAMA SLP G-Hickory snare drum. It's got a meaty attack with exceptional snap, and it's very sensitive too - ghost notes come alive, and rimshots cut through every time. This 6.5x14 hickory snare has a 11mm shell providing great sustain and projection. This gives the SLP G-Hickory a fast response that's perfect for funk, pop, punk, gospel, and hip-hop styles, but will hold its own in rock and country too. Basically, you get a premium-sounding snare at a great price with the TAMA SLP G-Hickory snare drum.

This Limited Edition 14"x6.5" G-Hickory snare drum with an Elm outer ply is built on the foundation of a thicker 11mm, 13ply Maple shell, generating a bright sound with increased volume and sensitivity. The Elm outer ply, coupled with chrome hardware, makes for a stunning appearance that simply demands attention.
