This Niles badge Slingerland 8x15 Silver Sparkle Snare Drum is here on consignment. Originally, this drum started as a Gold Sparkle wrap but has evenly faded into a Silver Sparkle. Dated May 1962, this drum features a mahogany shell with maple reinforcing rings and chrome over brass hoops. This is an 8 double-sided lug with chrome hardware that has pitting. Tension rods, snare wires, and heads have been replaced, but all of the other parts appear to original. The Silver Sparkle wrap has a little flaking near the top of the drum at the seam but the seam is still tight. Serial # 5401
