While the words "short scale" and "five string bass" can be hard to reconcile in the same sentence for some, Jake Serek has done it again folks! The MW2 5-string will wow you balancing low end response and ease of navigation. You've simply never had this easy a time wrangling that 5th string! The Nordstrand Big Blades are clear as a bell and tilt towards a modern sound while retaining plenty of thump and warmth, and at just over 7 lbs the slim and trim mahogany body makes for a delightfully lightweight "big" bass!

The Midwestern 2 takes a more modern approach than its sibling, the original Midwestern bass. Updates include a sleek new design with body contours and a lower cutaway for full access to 21 frets. The Midwestern 2 is made up of a lightweight Mahogany body and the same 30.5″ scale Mahogany set neck found on the Midwestern. This bass can also be made in 32” scale, and with either 4 or 5 strings for those looking to extend their sonic range.
