This bass is a perfect illustration of what we love about Sandberg's aging process. The neck has that softened up, ready to play, feel of a perfectly broken in neck right out of the box is a real joy to play. Add to that their unique heat and vibration treatments and this instrument has the wizened feel and sound of a bass with decades of play in it. While Sandberg might be best known for their active instruments, don't sleep on the passive ones. With their own Alnico 5 pickups you get plenty of the definition and growl we all want from a J.
