Sabian has just announced the launch of a brand new cymbal series: XSR. Replacing Xs20, XSR delivers an unprecedented sound and performance at an incredibly affordable price. For the XSR Series, Sabian used the latest cymbal-making technology and drew on many of the same production methods used to make their AAX and HHX cymbals. XSR cymbals are hammered, lathed, and feature enhanced profiles. These cymbals have been reshaped and redesigned to accelerate the overall sound of the cymbal. The result? Sound and performance well beyond what you would expect from a budget series.
With Sabian cymbals, you're in good company. Located in the small Eastern Canadian village of Meductic, New Brunswick, Sabian has been supplying the shimmer on the top end of countless hit records for over three decades. First-call drummers such as Terry Bozzio, Dave Weckl, Neil Peart, and Mike Portnoy rely on Sabian for the sizzle atop their kits - and you can, too.
SABIAN was founded in 1981 when Robert Zildjian - one of the world's great names in cymbal making came to the conclusion that drummers needed a better choice of cymbals. Unsatisfied with the quality, the sound and the very relevance of the cymbals being manufactured at the time, he opened SABIAN in the small eastern Canadian village of Meductic, New Brunswick.
Since that time the SABIAN Vault has become a global center for cymbal and sound innovation. And that same SABIAN innovation has resulted in an unprecedented level of choice from the most diverse offering of cymbal design ever available. As a result, modern drummers and percussionists can choose from models that range from vintage to modern, from dark to bright, from traditional to downright eclectic.
