Sound Pure's Take
The Sabian HHX Evolution line is the result of a callborative effort between drum legend Dave Weckl and Sabian's head cymbal designer Mark Love. Through countless prototypes, the pair were able to create a consistent sounding line of cymbals for a variety of musical situations. Each Evolution cymbal goes through a mix of hammering, lathing, and buffing for a brilliant finish. One of the unique features to this line is the unlathed bell which gives them a little extra projection allowing them to cut through when you really need it. We were impressed with the full-range tonal response of these cymbals as well as the versatility and we hope that you will too.
