This is a good condition Rogers 5x14 chrome over brass Powertone snare drum and is here on consignment. Serial #17999-Dayton Ohio. The shell interior is super clean and the exterior is in good condition with minimal pitting. The lugs do show some slight pitting, but considering their age are in good condition as well. A couple of the tension rod heads and the snare sensitivity dial has lost some chrome, but the drum is otherwise in good condition. The snare wires and snare side head appear to be relatively new and the batter head shows some wear. Great player drum!
THE VISION… AND A LEGACY that helped shape the modern drum industry. Since 1849, Rogers Drums rose from the first U.S. calfskin drum head manufacturer into one of the most innovative drum and percussion brands on the planet. Rogers hit its stride during modern history’s most transformative decade – the 1960s and this “Golden Era” of the brand brought new inventions, sound, and style to the world of drumming- that had never been imagined before. Today, Rogers returns- celebrating the vision, and the legacy of their Golden Era, and carrying forward the brand’s creed for percussion innovation into the 21st Century.
