The sounds you grew up on! The Beatles, The Byrds, The Heartbreakers (with Tom Petty, of course), The Beach Boys, Genesis, The Who - the list could go on forever! The common denominator between these bands - all had used a Rickenbacker 360/12 on their records! It truly is the essence of the electric 12 string, a sounds that's bright with bite but sounds as pleasant to the ear as a wind chime in a slight breeze. The guitars sound can only be matched by the aesthetics, with a gorgeous Mapleglo finish. We can't imagine finding a better 12 string than this - plain and simple.
The nut and 2 volume pots have been replaced with period-correct replacements. The frets appear to be original and in great shape, with no evidence of filing (although being skinny and low.) Neck angle is fantastic and it has left some room to lower the bridge down the road if necessary, but it appears as if the guitar has stabilized well over time. Fantastic action and set-up with unmatched playability for a vintage Ric!
The world's most popular twelve string electric guitar boasts all of the deluxe features of its Model 360 cousin. A standard for recording for more than thirty years, its haunting, melodic chorus has continued to benefit from evolution. The slimmed and re-contoured neck now makes the 360/12 easier to play than ever. It is also available with an extra pickup (Model 370/12 ).
