What We Think

The Reverend has spoken, and the sermon on the Buckshot speaks of TONE. While Reverend is known for pushing some contemporary boundaries, this one sits in a realm all it's own.

The T-style bridge and RevTron Humbucker come together for a harmonically rich and complex sound that really lends itself to the ear. The nice bright bite from the korrina and maple really compliments the pickups, giving you everything from twang to rockin' tones with clarity at all volumes. The bass contour knob allows you to thin out or fatten up your sound at will, really giving you a good sculpting block to start with.

All in all, this one's a steal. A pricepoint like this shouldn't have a guitar this nice in it - but here we are with the Reverend Buckshot.

Manufacturer's Description from Reverend

Perfect for the player who wants the T-style tone, but thicker and more versatile. The bridge pickup is our custom T-style single-coil that delivers classic upper-mid honk and bite but with more body. The neck pickup is our Revtron mini-humbucker, carefully repositioned slightly further from the neck to better match the bridge pickup's tone and output, and increase percussive qualities... full, warm tone but leaner than a full-size humbucker. And if you want the traditional T-style tone, just roll back the Bass Contour control and both pickups become brighter!

The solid korina body guarantees a resonant, light, and lively instrument that responds to the player's touch.

About Manufacturer

Reverend is the brainchild of Joe Naylor. Joe's decades of formal training and hands-on experience, along with our small, highly skilled staff ensures that Reverend delivers the goods:

TONE - Great design makes for great sounding gear. We have a deep respect for (and extensive knowledge of) fine vintage equipment. At Reverend, those sensibilities come together with design innovation that satisfies the most discriminating players.

STYLE - Reverend guitars are an extension of your musical individuality, a unique voice in a sea of clones.

VALUE - We put extensive research and development into our products to raise the level of performance. That is why Reverend products are often compared performance-wise to gear costing several times more.

SERVICE - A product is only as good as the people who stand behind it. Reverend service is legendary. Why?...because our philosophy is simple: treat customers the same way we'd want to be treated.
