Sound Pure's Take
Condition: Used, Good
*Does not include case*
This is my kind of guitar. Mahogany resonators are near 'n' dear to me as it is--between the throaty honk from the cone and the warm, woody, flat-top-like quality from the back and sides, they've got the best sounding mid-range you could ask for in a blues guitar. Fingerpicking and slide work are as close to second-nature as it gets--no surprise there--but that wood construction beckons the player to explore beyond the borders of the Delta and Piedmont blues canons. What happens when you pick up a flatpick and try out a few swing progressions? How about some fiddle tunes? There's plenty of room for genre exploration with this Reso! You'll find this is the kind of guitar you bring with you all over the house--give us a call before someone else slings it over their shoulder and heads down the road!
From Other (Miscellanous Used/Vintage/Consign)
The Recording King Professional Resonator is crafted entirely from mahogany with a parallelogram soundwell and 12-Fret neck joint. The traditional roundneck design and vintage sunburst finish make this an instant classic. The hand-spun Recording King Cone provides true resonator tone. The bone nut and the maple/ebony saddle help give the guitar great sustain, and it's kept in tune by the Grover tuning machines.
The Professional Resonator has classic features like rounded soundhole screens and slotted screws.
