Manufacturer's Description from Radial

The EXTC is a guitar effects interface designed for use inside the Radial Workhorse and other API compatible rack 500 series systems. It features a balanced line level input with variable guitar level send & receive controls for hi-impedance guitar effects. Transformer isolation combined with class-A discreet electronics assures optimal signal transfer. This makes the EXTC the perfect interface for all kinds of effects that otherwise are difficult to use, cause noise or create unbearable hum.

  • Balanced interface for guitar effects pedals
  • Separate send & receive controls optimize signal path
  • Transformer isolated send eliminates ground loops
  • Creative tool helps your mix stand out from the rest

The Radial EXTC™ is a 500 series module that lets you incorporate guitar effects into the realm of pro-audio recording. Just imagine… add a touch of grit to a vocal track, some wah on a kick drum, maybe flange a violin…The EXTC is a creative tool made for your esoteric-inventive side, ready to unleash fresh new sounds that will make your recordings stand out from the crowd.

And it's super easy to use: connect a line level signal from the recording system. The EXTC unbalances the signal and converts it to high impedance where guitar pedals can be inserted at will. Front mounted ¼" send & receive connectors provide easy access. Turn track on, set levels, adjust the blend for just the right amount of magic. Be prepared for instant amazement. Legalized ecstasy.

Features include Radial's award winning 100% discrete class-A guitar buffering for ultimate audio integrity, transformer isolation to eliminate buzz and hum caused by ground loops, 180º polarity reverse to keep effects and balanced signals in phase, plus a separate patch bay insert point to add studio effects into the fun.

The Radial EXTC is without a doubt one of the most innovative effect manipulating devices ever made. And it opens the door to new sounds by taking Reamping™ technology to an all new level.

Be prepared for wild & wonderful!

About Manufacturer

Radial Engineering is a manufacturer and distributor of professional audio equipment, building tools for the working audio and audio-video professional. Radial is located on the Fraser River, just outside Vancouver, British Columbia in the municipality of Port Coquitlam. The company began operations in the fall of 1991 as the Canadian distributor of Mogami cable and Jensen Audio Transformers. In 1992, it became a limited corporation under the JP Cabletek Electronics Ltd. banner. The Radial name was first used on house branded cables and snake systems. The Radial name and logo represents a cross section of quad cable; Radial being round. In 1996 the Radial JDI direct box was launched. This led the way to the Radial JDV and today, over 50 electronic products are now being produced under the Radial, Tonebone and Forest Audio brands. In 2001, the Primacoustic brand was launched to address the growing demand for acoustic products for the burgeoning home recording market and in 2006, the company officially changed its name to Radial Engineering Ltd.
