This drum's [mahogany?] shell with reinforcement rings offers plenty of rich, warm tone, while still maintaining crispness from the 5.5" depth. This drum features a snare strainer with dual-adjustment knobs on the throwoff and buttplate, allowing for quick and easy centering of the snare wires. 

Physically, the drum is in good condition. The hardware shows some signs of age, with the chrome pitted and tarnished in some places. The shell itself is in near-perfect condition, with one slight nick in the bearing edge. Two holes can be seen in the shell; these were drilled to accommodate an internal muffling system which is not included.
