Sound Pure's Take
The Concept Metal series represents years of refined craftsmanship from the PDP team. This snare is designed to be a “workhorse,” making it useful for live or recording playing situations. The brass lends itself to a crisp and sensitive articulation in the medium and high tensions while retaining definition in the lower ranges. PDP's True Pitch tension rods combined with the 10 lug configuration affords the player greater control over the tuning to a very granular level.
From PDP Drums
The Concept Series Brass snare drum features a rolled and doubled-beaded 1mm brass shell that is brushed for a classy satin finish. Brass shells produce a heavy, fat attack, musical overtones, and a wide tuning range that’s suitable for a variety of styles. Premium appointments, including True-Pitch tension rods, a sturdy DW MAG throw-off, and Remo Heads, contribute to the sophistication and quality of the snare. Drummers have enjoyed the PDP Concept Select Series Brass snare's resplendent sound. It's a multi-faceted snare you'll never want to stop playing!
