This Tasmanian Blackwood snare drum with Torrangora wood hoops brings a throwback flair with modern build tolerances. Finished in a natural satin, the mineral streaks of this gorgeous timber really stand out and provide a beautiful complement to the darker wood hoops. The Tasmanian Blackwood coupled with the 8 lug configuration bring a soothing warmth that we fell in love with. The Torrangora wood hoops bring a nice full-bodied rimshot you've come to expect from modern drums while tipping the cap towards a retro look.
The Dunnett throw-off is multi-stepped and allows players who prefer multiple snare sensitivities an option to take advantage of this with a turn of the strainer. A total of three snare positions and one off position. The Regal lugs tune with ease and the drum is finished with a 42 strand snare wire.
