Stepping away from the traditional lathing style on top of the cymbals, Meinl opted for the raw and tightly hammered look. The hammering adds focus and a trashy quality that is rarely achieved in modern cymbals. The lathed undersides knock down some weight and adds to the dark and smokey sounds.This crash is trashy and focused but doesn't get in the way. The bell is penetrating and sits comfortably with the overall sound. A versatile cymbal which both rock and jazz drummers will love.
