Sound Pure's Take
I cannot believe this wood actually exists in nature. Looking at the back on this guitar is like an optical illusion. It's three-dimensional. It almost looks like it's moving. Sonically, it provides for tremendous warmth and note definition. The shallower body lends it an intimate voice that's hard to beat, especially coupled with the structural advances that allow McPhersons to sustain for days, months, sometimes years. The Addy top is crisp and responsive. It take a little and give a lot. It can also take a lot and give a lot. There's also something mysterious about the tone. It's perfect. Utterly. At the same time it has an exotic flavor that's hard to put my finger on. Must be the Sapelle.
