What We Think

This CF-1 is supremely resonant for a guitar with laminate construction. Designed by Dale Unger in conjunction with Martin Guitars, this guitar exhibits the great tone and feel that has earned Dale a reputation as one of the premier archtop luthiers in the world. The clean lines and sleek design are evidence of the skill and meticulous attention to detail of a master builder, while the intricate grain patterns on the spruce top and maple back and sides reveal the one-of-a-kind character of this unique instrument. The laminate body construction resists feedback just enough to be suitable for higher-volume ensemble playing, without squashing the guitar's naturally full voice. If you are looking for a high-quality, American-made archtop that won't break the bank, this is the one for you!
