The tom holder also dramatically increases sustain and fullness of tone by preserving vibration in the head and shell and preventing energy transfer to the hardware. The Saturn features Mapex 6-Ply snares and toms, and 8-ply bass drums constructed of North American maple and walnut hybrid shells. These shells are crowned with Remo Emperor clear batter drumheads, and Remo P3 Batter bass drumheads so they will be ready to rock right out of the box.  You may have a hard time deciding on your favorite finish.
