Weight: 8.95 lbs.
Gain ready and easy to play, this balanced and versatile guitar is good for rhythm and lead. It is just what you want from a goldtop - big, powerful and heavy.
Condition: Used, Very Good - Minor playwear, case has some dings
The Velvet takes the 2 humbucker guitar to a whole new level. It was designed to have a broader tonal range; fat and focussed mids when played with drive but enough treble and quack to serve the classic clean tones.
As usual on Magneto guitars, we designed the body and the neck in order to influence the guitar's vibrations while improving its ergonomy. The body is a 1-piece mahogany with a 10mm bound maple top, its overall thickness was brought to a total of 55mm which gives the guitar around 8.75 lbs (under 4 kgs) of weight. The neck is made of mahogany with a rosewood fingerboard topped with jumbo frets and was shaped to a C profile for playing comfort. The headstock is angled to 17° for great string pressure resulting in better vibrations. As opposed to our T-Wave and Sonnet models, the Velvet is a set-neck guitar with a 24 ¾" scale . The Lollar Imperial humbuckers were chosen for their ability to translate the guitar's real tonal characteristics.
The Velvet was created to address your music in a new fashion, either you are in a retro twangy mood or you need plenty of power and sustain, the Velvet will deliver.
