This bass was our introduction to the work of Jon Maghini, and he's made a heck of a first impression. Weighing in under 8 lbs with Swamp Ash and Hipshot hardware, this P-style bass was surely built with comfort for the player in mind. The body is well balanced and contoured and fitted with a smooth and lovely looking roasted maple neck and figured maple fingerboard, and with a 1 5/8" nut width (in our opinion the happy medium between vintage J and vintage P) this Maghini is a pleasure to play and to behold. Polish it all off with Nordstrand's vintage 50's voiced NP4V pickup for that old school sound and you've got a winner.
