The product of a unique chapter in the history of Lowden Guitars, this S5FN was made in Japan during the 5-year period (1980-85) when George Lowden had a partnership with Sadao Yairi. Features George’s revolutionary design and Yairi’s legendary quality craftsmanship, it’s a crossover nylon string that is perfect for Jazz, Bossa Nova, or anything that requires a unique modern voice.
Coming from the personal collection of our luthier, this example has been restored and upgraded to a high standard. The original under saddle pickup has been replaced by an L.R. Baggs Element, connected to the original EMG preamp which features active t/m/b controls for excellent sound-shaping potential.
The original frets have been dressed, and the action is low and comfortable. Acoustically, this guitar has an even response with no bad habits, but it really shines when plugged into a quality acoustic amplifier. Warm yet articulate, it lets the true sound of your playing come through.
If you’re looking for a gig-ready crossover nylon guitar, look no further.
