A guitar with a voice as mature as it is modern! All Lowdens are extremely responsive and lively--the F23 takes those qualities one step (at least!) further through the combination of one of the most sensitive tonewoods, Cedar, with one of the most direct, Walnut. The result is an instrument capable of everything from an articulate roar to more tender lullaby-tones, with your right hand having a truly unusual degree of control over the vast dynamic spectrum the F23 offers up. The percussive thump this thing is capable of is just as delightful as the bell-like sparkle a gentle touch produces. Few guitars are more irresistible for fingerstyle guitarists than these kinds of models--the same goes for an instrument that needs to be both tonally complex as well as fundamental-oriented enough to execute clean, 3 dimensional studio recordings.

The Original Series was the very first Lowden range from 1976, just as the ‘O’ model is George’s original Lowden body design. Although the medium sized ‘F’ and concert sized ‘S’ have been added to the range since then, the Lowden standard of passionate commitment to no compromise was well and truly set.
