This instrument was our introducation the work of Laurie Williams and what a first impression! An absolute tour de force of building technique and exquisite materials, this guitar is dripping with rare tonewoods from NZ including flamed Ancient Kauri, Tanekaha, Amboyna Burl, and Totara. The voicing is pitch perfect with ringing sustain, excellent clarity, and tons of volume. The Tanekaha top is responsive and wonderfully thin making for a shockingly lightweight instrument overall. We're very pleased to have this guitar in the shop and to have made Laurie's acquaintance!

Designed for the fingerstylist, the Tui model has superb balance and clarity of tone. It has a wide dynamic range making it more expressive and nuanced for the virtuoso player. Whether you play in the world's grandest concert halls or in the privacy of your home the Tui is built to inspire.

The lower bout is 15 3/4" and has a depth at the tailblock of 4 1/2".

For the cutaway option it features a sculpted, low profile, heel-to-cutaway body transition allowing comfortable access to the higher frets.
