Manufacturer's Description from Kepma Guitars

The Kepma Fenix Series of Grand Auditorium Guitars is the most advanced yet affordable solid top guitar in the line. It’s priced so anyone can afford a super-high quality guitar with exceptional tonal characteristics, plus with the addition of the AcoustiFex® K-10 Pro Pickup, Preamp & FX system, you’ll experience a level of sound and inspiration that’s completely alone in its class.

However, there are quite a few innovations that separate these guitars from the others… other than price/value. Kepma is a technology focused company with the goal of combining science and art to produce some of the best instruments in the world.

First, the Solid Top…

Did we mention that this guitar has a torrefied solid top? The proprietary Kepma Torrefication Process uses a combination of controlled heat, humidity and pressure over a period of time to draw the moisture, oils and sap from the cellular structures in the wood to the surface, which is then sanded off. This process adds additional strength and stability to the tops while making them less reactive to atmospheric condition changes. Every solid Kepma top goes through this highly controlled process and it yields tops that react better to string vibration, are more “lively” and definitely more stable.

About Manufacturer

Meet Jack and Kevin. Two guys with a passion for music, a love of the guitar and a fascination with making things better.

Jack Peng & Kevin Liu have known each other since grade school. They grew up in environments where music was part of the family fabric and they taught themselves to play guitar on the simplest made instruments they were able to afford.

Fast forward to their University years, where they both studied mechanical engineering, and after graduating, they concluded that something needed to be done about the quality of guitars that were being made.  That’s when they decided they would work together to develop manufacturing techniques and processes that would produce the best instruments on the face of the planet.

While previously working for OEM guitar factories, they saw firsthand that most imported guitars don't sound very good or play very well. They witnessed famous American names being screened onto headstocks the same way a furniture factory makes the same table over and over; without passion and with parts that are made "good enough".

They saw inconsistencies in quality, workmanship, sound and playability. And they knew there was another way. A better way.
