"Many of my inquiries wanted a lighter, slightly less powerful version. I mean a large number of customers asked me about it, and I always listen to my customer’s concerns. So I made the exact same amp except 10” shorter (Two KENDRICK blackframe 10” speakers instead of four), and I used different transformers that would accommodate 6V6s in the output stage (3 db less headroom, so the amp could break at a lower volume). Now you might think this sounds like the recipe for a 2X10” Deluxe Reverb, but you would be wrong. A Deluxe or even a Pro Reverb, Vibrolux Reverb, or Bandmaster uses a very small output transformer with not much iron and therefore lacks the punch of the Super Reverb output transformer. For my output transformer, I just had to have that same big punchy, spanky Super Reverb attack (which, BTW, used a very large output transformer), so I used a huge interleaved output transformer (exact same output transformer that I used on the Climax/Express and the New Joy Zee Amp). The new 2X10” KENDRICK Super Dooper Lite has the punch of a Super Reverb, weighs about 20lbs. less and has about 3 db less volume."
