Sound Pure's Take
Condition: Used, Excellent
An extraordinary instrument in truly extraordinary condition, this custom creation from John Osthoff is about as elegant a baritone as you can imagine, with an impressive mixed-material rosette inlay, rope purfling and a marble bridge and pins. Not to mention those beautiful Brazilian rosewood back and sides! The Italian spruce top keeps the sound clear and direct all the way down to the low B. The bass response is throaty, the mids prominent and the treble snappy yet subdued enough to avoid overtonal confusion when playing full chords. While definitely a large guitar (considering it's a jumbo with a longer-scale neck), it's eminently comfortable to play, especially if you double as a bassist.
