What We Think
The Jetter Gold Standard is exactly that, the golden standard at which we will now hold all boost and drive pedals. Both sides on this dual channel overdrive are completely splendid individually, and come together for a sum greater than the whole of it's parts. In other words, not only do both sides sound incredible, they are so organic, rich and raw when run in tandem. Perfect for everything from subtle tone shaping, a clean boost, slight grit and grind to creamy drive. The Jetter Gold Standard is one killer pedal, and it'll most certainly be making its way onto my own personal board.
Manufacturer's Description from Jetter
The Gold Standard concept is simple: Start by combining a Gold Shift and a Helium in a single enclosure then optimize the circuits for maximum performance and seamless integration when stacked. The result is an elevated level of performance that is, in a word, amazing.
The Gold Standard Side
The Gold side is operating very similar to the Gold Shift pedal on which it is based. The circuit was tweaked in several ways: The tonal center on the tone control has been shifted for a somewhat softer attack. Neutral is now at approximately 2 O’Clock. When the switch is selected to the Gold setting, the upper harmonics stay strong but the “bite” has been trimmed back a bit at higher gain settings. Overall, there is a slightly “woodier” tone as well. The “Shift” side of the switch is a smokier, slightly more compressed tone. This setting works particularly well with brightish guitars and amps. The “Shift” setting is also a great choice for achieving the elusive “violin tone”.
The Helium Side
The primary design goal of tweaking the Helium side was to achieve a natural, organic low-gain performance and to compliment the Gold side when stacked. The tonal center was shifted slightly and the overall voice was tweaked, particularly in the lower mids. This is most evident when using a neck pickup, particularly a Strat or Tele; the tones are absolutely stellar!

Jetter Gear made the decision several years ago to keep as much of the build process in-house or closely under our direct control. Our enclosures are designed by us and manufactured locally. We feel that these enclosures are the toughest in the industry, all while maintaining elegance of design and functionality. We then use the highest quality powder coating available to give our enclosures a beautiful and durable finish.
Our silk screening is all done in-house, from graphic design to actually applying the ink. We use an extremely durable catalyzed ink for precision and long life. Our circuit boards are designed in-house and are manufactured here in the USA using military grade materials. Every circuit board is loaded by hand here at Jetter Gear.
All of these steps contribute to our dedication to designing and building the most reliable and aesthetically pleasing pedals possible.
