What We Think

Handcrafted in Burlington, Vermont, this Iris WE (Wilcutt Edition) reimagines the classic OM platform with a long 25.5" scale length, pairing a solid Sitka spruce top with solid mahogany back and sides. Dressed in a rich Tobacco Burst finish with clean ivoroid body binding, it delivers remarkable openness, punchy fundamental warmth, and enhanced string tension for dynamic flatpicking and fingerstyle clarity. Strikingly lightweight at just 3 lbs 3 oz, it features vintage-style open-back tuners with cream buttons, a bold firestripe pickguard, a comfortable C/D neck profile with a 1-11/16" nut width, and a 14-fret body joint, blending vintage American bench-built mojo with modern precision.
