If you are looking to capture the frenetic, lightning-fast ouvre of Eddie Van Halen on a beautiful, high quality, boutique guitar then look no further than the Grosh Sunset 79. With a buttery smooth neck and searing hot pickups, you'll be in shred heaven. And just to make this guitar that much more versatile, the Floyd Rose tremolo is equipped with the EVH D-Tuna, allowing you to easily switch between standard and Drop D tuning without spending 30 minutes fiddling with screws and allen wrenches.
This is truly the creme de la creme of Brown Sound shredders and would make a great home in your own stable of guitars!
The Sunset '79 epitomizes the late 70s/early 80s southern California hard rock scene with tone and playability that only Grosh can deliver. With a one piece maple neck, dual Grosh humbuckers mounted directly to the body, and rear-routed electronics, the '79 is aggressive and focused. The Grosh-original body design lends a look and sonic signature that is familiar yet all its own. The default neck is a new modified "D" back shape developed specifically for this guitar by Don Grosh. Finally, this is the first Grosh to be designed from the ground up with a Floyd Rose tremolo. Everything about this guitar screams "ROCK", but it doesn't end there ... roll back the volume to get some of the most amazingly soulful jazz, blues and funk tones. Featuring master-grade, tone-tapped woods, ultra-thin nitro-lacquer finish and handcrafted Grosh pickups. Pure Passion - Pure Tone.
