Grace Design Model m902 Headphone Amplifier  From Grace

Refernce Headphone Amplifier

Grace Design

Manufacturer's Description from Grace

The m902 is built upon the remarkable success of our model 901 headphone amplifier, with the addition of many new and essential features designed to make it an invaluable tool for any critical audio application.

Professionals and audiophiles alike will simply be floored by the m902's latest generation, high performance 24/192 DAC, which includes our unique s-Locktm dual stage PLL (Phase Lock Loop) for extremely low intrinsic jitter and rock solid digital performance. A full compliment of digital and analog inputs are available (including USB) which are all selectable via a front panel rotary switch.

The m902 also includes an exciting new feature to simulate the acoustics of a loudspeaker listening environment, which significantly improves imaging while reducing listening fatigue when using headphones. This feature employs carefully designed signal crossfeed, filtering and delay circuits to simulate HRTF (Head Related Transfer Functions).

Additionally, the m902 cleverly adds stereo analog line outputs for connection to studio monitors, allowing it to also function as an elegantly simple high fidelity monitor controller or even a purist audiophile preamplifier/ DAC.

At the core of the m902 is our meticulously designed high-current transimpedance amplifier circuitry, which effortlessly drives even the lowest impedance headphones. This no compromise circuitry provides the high-resolution and low-level ambient detail for which all Grace Design products are famous. Familiar recorded material becomes at once transparent and alive, and critical details in editing and mastering become obvious and easy to manipulate.

As the logical update of the venerable model 901, the new m902 reference headphone amplifier stakes its claim as the final word in reference headphone amplification and as the new must have tool for audio playback in any environment.

About Manufacturer

Audio engineer/designer Michael Grace originally began building single order custom audio products for a small, devout following of recording engineers and artists is 1990. Before long, the word had spread about Michael's custom microphone preamplifier designs, which were said to outperform anything else that was commercially available. Based on an increasing demand for his mic preamp design, in 1994 Grace Design was founded and began production of the original 801 mic preamp. Not only did the 801 provide a new level of audio performance and functionality, it helped to establish outboard microphone preamplifiers and direct-to-tape recording as a new standard in professional audio production. Over the years, Grace Design has maintained a steady, methodical pace to developing new products and technologies. Our product line has evolved into a definitive collection of microphone preamplifier configurations and other unique professional audio products. While the professional audio industry is inundated with products seemingly designed for obsolescence, we pride ourselves on providing audio professionals with the finest tools imaginable.
