The bawdy, bluesy resonator reaches refinement in this wonderful Paul Beard Signature! I was delighted to find that this guitar is capable of a lot more than honkin' and thumpin'. The generous use of wood in this model can be thanked for that--a largely mahogany construction softens the tone while the maple soundwell lends the guitar a strong-but-sweet fundamental across the dynamic range. The cutaway and revolutionary coverplate design make playing and maintenance equally breezy. I often feel like I'm wresting with all-metal resonators...this feels more like a dance! Call us up today before this lightly-used beauty finds a new partner for tuneful two-steppin'!
Condition: Used, Good
Designed by legendary resophonic instrument maker Paul Beard, these signature model guitars are handmade and provide unmatched tone in their price range. The “open” Beard soundwell body design uses genuine USA-made Beard cones and spiders. All Paul Beard models include a new coverplate system. Previously, in order to adjust string action, break angle, string spacing or to replace the saddle, it was necessary to detach the strings and remove the entire coverplate. The new Gold Tone/Beard resonator coverplate design with removable palm rest is a revolutionary concept for making fine adjusments easier and more efficient.
