Condition: Used, Very Good
SP Luthier Notes: All frets were replaced with spec-correct fretwire, then dressed and polished. A few minor dents on the neck were filled, color-matched and refinished. The neck pickup has been replaced. The bridge pickup appears original. Wiring harness is a Mojo replacement harness. The strap button was moved, so there is an extra hole in the upper bout.
The Gibson Les Paul Standard is a classic solidbody that delivers the thick sustain, rich mids, and powerful response that made the model so iconic. Its maple top and mahogany body create a warm, balanced voice with plenty of punch and clarity, while the dual humbuckers handle everything from smooth cleans to heavier driven tones with ease. The mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard provide a familiar, comfortable feel across all 22 frets. Finished in Cherry Sunburst, it carries the timeless look that has defined countless recordings and stages for decades. Warm, resonant, and unmistakably classic, this Les Paul Standard delivers the sound players expect from a great Gibson.
Today's Gibson electric guitars represent the history as well as the future of the electric guitar. The models whose designs have become classics-the ES-175, ES-335, Flying V, Explorer, Firebird, SGs and Les Pauls-are a testament to Gibson's wide appeal, spanning more than four decades of music styles. Gibson's close relationship with musicians is manifest in endorsement models from King, Atkins and jazz greats Howard Roberts and Herb Ellis, plus new Les Pauls made to the personal specifications of rock stars Jimmy Page and Joe Perry. In 1994, Gibson's Centennial year, the new Nighthawk model won an industry award for design, setting the stage for a second hundred years of Gibson quality and innovation.
