Gibson's 1960 Les Paul Standard Reissue VOS is as close as you'll get to a perfectly preserved 1960 Les Paul Standard — all without the vintage tax and setup nightmares. This iconic single-cut is a spot-on reproduction of the slim-necked, burst-finished Standard as it stood in stores the farewell year of its original run. Its top-tier tonewoods (mahogany/maple/rosewood) and handwired electronics are the same recipe that has inspired catalogs of hits and generations of guitarists — Clapton to McCartney — worldwide. Historic features and appointments include PAF Custombucker Alnico III pickups with CTS pots and paper-in-oil caps, a hide-glued 1960 SlimTaper neck, and single-line/double-ring vintage Kluson tuners. A period-correct VOS nitrocellulose lacquer finish completes the package.
