Since the early 1800's Elkhart Indiana has been known for it's musical instruments. The beautiful brass instruments, pianos, violins, flutes and piccolos. In the late 50's George Way built his first set of drums right here in Elkhart Indiana before joining up with Ludwig Drums. The legendary Crown Amplifiers are also made here. The Elkhart Jazz Fest draws in the finest musicians from all over the world every year.

From the widely unknown craft called “Luthiery” we have Perry Germann known as a Luthier. A luthier caters to repairs, modifications, and building of guitars. Perry hand builds One of One custom guitars called Germann guitars. He is driven by a passion for fine guitars, authenticity, and the love of music. In an era of mass manufacturing, outsourcing, looking for cheaper and faster, and disposable everything, it's nice to know that ONE OF A KIND really does exist!
