From Furman Sound
The M-8z is the essential power conditioner in the Merit Z Series, delivering trusted surge protection and clean power at an accessible price point. It features Extreme Voltage Shutdown (EVS) technology that continuously monitors incoming AC and instantly disconnects during dangerous over or under voltage events to protect your connected equipment. Built-in standard-level surge protection with a "Protection OK" indicator, combined with AC noise filtration, reduces RFI/EMI interference for cleaner, more stable power. Convenient front-panel USB-C (5V/3A) and USB-A (5V/2.4A) fast charging ports keep phones, tablets, and wireless accessories powered right from your rack.
Applications
- Recording Studios & Home Studios
- Clean, filtered power eliminates RFI/EMI interference for quieter audio, while EVS protection safeguards mixers, interfaces, and outboard gear from dangerous voltage events
- Live Sound & Touring Rigs
- The 15A rating handles multiple rack-mounted amplifiers and processors, with wall-wart spacing accommodating bulky power supplies without blocking adjacent outlets
- Installations (Bars, Clubs & Venues)
- EVS protection defends against unpredictable AC power in older venues, preventing equipment failures during performances and reducing costly downtime
- Commercial Workstations
- Integrated USB-C and USB-A fast charging ports conveniently power tablets, wireless units, and accessories right from the rack without occupying precious outlets
