From FreqPort
For the first time in history, FreqTube FT1-EMU brings true analog circuit behavior into a fully standalone software plugin, combining real tube tone with the flexibility, speed, and recall of modern digital production.
While analog processors are prized for their sound, they often require complex hardware setups that interrupt creative flow. FT1-EMU removes this barrier by delivering circuit-accurate analog modeling directly inside your DAW — with no hardware required.
Built using component-level circuit modeling based on a SPICE reference model of the original FreqTube FT1 hardware, FT1-EMU captures true tube saturation, rich harmonics, and natural dynamic behavior beyond conventional digital emulation methods.
Use FT1-EMU anywhere in your session like a standard plugin. Run it across multiple tracks and channels, automate every parameter, and recall settings instantly — all with the precision and flexibility of a modern digital workflow.
Whenever you’re ready to expand into real analog processing, simply connect the FreqTube FT1 hardware unit. The same plugin instantly switches from software emulation to real analog tube processing using the same controls and DAW session — digital to analog with a single click.
FreqTube FT1-EMU is not just another analog-style plugin. It’s a new hybrid platform for producers, engineers, and sound designers who want authentic analog behavior today — and a seamless path to real tube hardware tomorrow.

TECHNOLOGY:
FT1-EMU uses component-level circuit modeling based on a SPICE reference model of the original hardware design.
This approach recreates the electrical interactions between circuit components rather than approximating the sound using static captures or black-box models. As a result, the plugin preserves the nonlinear behavior, dynamic response, and signal interactions that define the character of the original analog circuit.
The model was refined using measurements of the hardware unit and optimized for modern real-time performance.
While the plugin faithfully reproduces the circuit behavior in software, real analog hardware remains the ultimate reference. For that reason, Freqport developed a hybrid platform allowing seamless switching between the emulation and the physical FT1 hardware within the same plugin workflow.

HARDWARE (OPTIONAL)
FT1-EMU seamlessly connects to the real FreqTube FT1 hardware, allowing the plugin to switch instantly from software emulation to true analog tube processing. The same plugin, the same controls, the same session — now routed through real analog circuitry.
Real Tube Signal Path:
When connected to the FreqTube FT1 hardware, audio is routed through four real analog tube channels with selectable tube types, processed entirely in the analog domain before returning to your DAW.
Bit-Perfect DAW Integration: Audio is streamed between your DAW and the FT1 hardware at high resolution with ultra-low latency, preserving timing, dynamics, and tone. Hardware processing is fully recallable inside your DAW session.
Unified Control Surface:
All hardware processing is controlled directly from the FT1-EMU plugin interface. Adjust drive, harmonics, filters, and signal flow exactly as in software — with the sound of real analog hardware.
