This three-color sunburst Fender Vintage Hot Rod '60s Stratocaster is a remarkable tone machine that perfectly bridges golden-era aesthetics with modern high-performance modifications. Featuring a resonant alder body finished in thin gloss nitrocellulose lacquer, this seven-pound twelve-ounce guitar delivers classic woody resonance with an incredibly comfortable mid-'60s "C" maple neck coated in a fast satin urethane. Unlike a standard vintage reissue, this hot-rodded model features a 7.25" to 12" compound radius rosewood fingerboard and narrow jumbo frets for effortless chordal work and buzz-free string bending. The true genius lies in its versatile electronics layout: it combines a Pure Vintage '59 neck pickup, an American Vintage '56 middle pickup, and a Pure Vintage '65 bridge pickup with an S-1 switch that injects the bridge pickup into positions 3, 4, and 5 for a massive array of expanded tonal combinations. Completed by a striking four-ply tortoiseshell pickguard, vintage-style locking tuners, and its deluxe hardshell case, this exceptional Strat brings an inspiring creative energy to any player's arsenal.
From Fender
For discerning guitarists, the Vintage Hot Rod '60s Stratocaster is the ideal combination of original-era style and present-day power and performance. Classic and contemporary at the same time, it delivers a potent combination of authentic vintage design straight from the 1960s and hot-rodded modern mods demanded by today's guitarists, such as a compound-radius fingerboard and special pickups and circuitry. All together, it's a remarkable performer that gives you the best Strat® sound, style and performance of yesterday and today.
