Exemplifying Custom Shop vintage refinement, this Fender Custom Shop '59 Stratocaster Closet Classic features a two-piece select alder body in an Ice Blue Metallic nitrocellulose lacquer finish with a 3-ply nitro green pickguard. Weighing 6 lbs 14 oz, it incorporates a flame AA maple neck carved to a '60 Style Oval "C" profile (.790" depth at the 1st fret, .930" at the 12th) with a dark tint oil finish, paired with a 9.5" radius slab rosewood fingerboard, 21 narrow tall (6105) frets, Micarta black dot inlays, and a 1.6875" nut over a 25.5" scale length. Electronics center on a trio of Custom Shop Fat '50s single-coil pickups (with an RWRP middle pickup) routed through a 5-way CRL selector switch, 250K 10% taper pots, dual tone controls, and a master volume integrated with an S-1 switch. Outfitted with Closet Classic hardware, key appointments include an American Vintage Stratocaster tremolo with Fender-branded saddles, vintage-style tuners, aged white plastics, an R-series neck plate, and a tweed hardshell case.
