This guitar makes no false pretense as to what it was made to do. This thing wants to rock, and rock hard. If a singular volume knob and no tone control with a Floyd Rose tremolo bar set up doesn't clue you in on that, then I promise this is not the one for you. But if you want a guitar that screams through a cranked half-stack, and takes no prisoners, you have come to the right place. This Axis has killer lead tone in all three of its positions. the bridge pickup is hot and sings for days, and the neck while warmer still has plenty of rock and roll fury behind it.  Blended together the two pickups are still effective as can be for either lead, rhythm playing, or just plain old riffing out. Honestly, that is the real beauty of a guitar like this.  No matter where you set its controls it will still sound good, push your amp, and rock with the best of them. It plays like butter, and its tremolo won't knock you out of tune when you dive bomb. This is the utilitarian rock horse for the player that knows what's important in a rock guitar. ATTITUDE BABY!
