The Echo Fix EF-X2 is a modern tape echo that faithfully captures the warmth, movement, and musical character of classic tape delay units while adding the reliability and versatility demanded by today's musicians and recording professionals. Designed and hand-built in Australia by the world's leading experts in vintage tape echo restoration, the EF-X2 combines authentic analog tape echo, real spring reverb, premium preamp circuitry, and modern control features into a single studio- and stage-ready effects unit.
Developed over three years of intensive research and testing, every critical component of the EF-X2 was engineered from the ground up. Echo Fix designed its own precision-balanced motor, commissioned custom tape heads, and developed a proprietary tape formulation to deliver the rich, organic sound of vintage tape echo with dramatically improved consistency, reliability, and longevity. The result is the unmistakable depth, saturation, and modulation of true tape delay without the compromises typically associated with vintage units.
