Sound Pure's Take

As soon as the pick digs into that string for the first note, it's unmistakeable. That's the sound of an Airline. The cheap fiberglass of years past has been replaced with chambered mahogony, and all the pickups and electronics upgraded for superior quality - but that original Airline sound you've grown to love since the 60's is still present. This guitar is tonally flexible, taking pedals wonderfully and being able to shape itself to fit almost all occasions. The guitar shines with fuzz or distortion in front, wreaking havoc and capable of getting ferocious, but the second that signal is bypassed and clean again you'd swear you have a vintage Danelectro in your hands. Perfect for nailing those classic vintage tones with tons of mojo on top - the Airline is top-notch in many aspects.

Airline® Guitars were made in the USA from 1958-68 by VALCO and sold through Montgomery Ward. VALCO also made National and SUPRO brands. Today they are played by people like David Bowie, The Cure, Calexico and White Stripes. Original Res-O-Glas models now sell for $2,000-$3,000.
