Sound Pure's Take

This T386 is a player's instrument, through and through--practical, affordable, durable, and versatile. The laminate maple body resists feedback and produces classic semi-hollow tone that is so useful in so many different styles that it could just be the only axe you will ever need! I love the feel of the neck and how sturdy and smooth it is when played throughout the entire range of the instrument. The semi-hollow design contributes a breathy fullness to the tone that gives your sound a little extra depth and character, especially when played clean. When it's time to play dirty, however, you have plenty of bite and punch for some heavier sounds and the guitar really sings with some full harmonic saturation.

From Eastman Guitars

Thinline

You can think of our semi-hollow thinlines as a guitarist’s Swiss Army knife. Their ability to handle nearly any genre makes them one of the most versatile tools in a player’s arsenal. Stay inspired by experimenting with different styles, or find a tone that perfectly suits your favorite genre — our thinlines do it all.

Maple Laminate

To be great is to be misunderstood. We’re true believers in the de-stigmatization of laminate guitars. The tightly compressed laminate woods dampen down overtones created by solid woods, and lend themselves to perfect tone production in louder environments. Every one of our laminated thinlines has a center block that runs the length of the body right down the center, which aids in the suppression of feedback and reinforces the top.

About Eastman

When it comes to building a guitar, there is a big difference between assembly and artistry. If history has taught us anything, it is that there is no substitute for skilled craftsmanship. At Eastman, each instrument is given the attention to detail required to ensure that it reaches its maximum potential. Features such as hand-scalloped bracing and precision tap tuning are just two examples of the way we differentiate ourselves. Considering the outward beauty of an Eastman Guitar, it’s often easy to overlook the skill and artistry applied to the inside of such a fine instrument.
