Sound Pure's Take
This brand-new model from Eastman is a wonderful hybrid of build styles, classic archtop tone and sensibility with a smaller body that limits the classic archtop issue of feedback. The mahogany back and sides produce a warm, stately tone with delightfully balanced mid-range. airy but pleasantly compressed highs and immediately responsive bass. Even when driven hard in a swing tune, this guitar maintains its tonal balance and gives you what you want from it, with nothing you don't. Plugged in, the Kent Armstrong humbucker provides a mellow, airy output that could almost, but not quite, be described as smoky. The dark burst that matches the mahogany back and sides make this guitar sure to turn a few heads, this is one of the more attractive Eastmans we've seen to date. And as always, you can't beat Eastman's quality-to-price ratio!
