Sound Pure's Take
Eastman continues to provide one of the best values on the market, bar none--this Sitka/Sapele dread from the newest iteration of their AC series should put any remaining doubts to rest! All solid wood, lightweight construction, hand carved bracing, bone nut and saddle...features like that just don't show up in this price range! Neither do the playability and projection the AC-DR1 offers up. A warm, open timbre comes across with plenty of power and articulation thanks to that lightweight design. Whether you're an accomplished musician looking for a companion instrument you can take anywhere or an artist on a budget looking for the best quality/price ratio out there, this wonderful Dreadnought is sure to satisfy!
From Eastman Guitars
The iconic shape of the Dreadnought is synonymous with acoustic guitars in general. Big and bold, these cannons are perfect for ensemble settings where the guitar competes for sonic space with other instruments or accompanying strong singers. The Dreadnought is the classic flat-picking bluegrass instrument.
