The DW Collector's Series Carbon Fiber snare drum is a relatively new addition to the Collectors Series family of drums. After many years and several prototypes, the Carbon Fiber snare drum has its place in the line-up.
Carbon fiber is composed of carbon atoms bonded together to form a long chain. The fibers are extremely stiff, strong, and light, and are used in many processes to create excellent building materials. The thin shell offers a wide dynamic sensitivity with crisp, punchy tones that we loved and are fantastic for loud playing situations. As expected, this high-performance snare drum comes with the usual DW quality components such as Remo drumheads, 3.0mm steel True Hoops, and True-Pitch tension rods.
