Condition: Used, Very Good
The Joe Walsh model is just about our favorite guitar that Duesenberg makes. Capable of a huge range of tones with a slimmed down body shape and unique cool looks (including morse code inlays!), this instrument is worthy of the name!
SP Luthier Notes: Polish frets and setup
We are proud that for the first model of this brand new Duesenberg Series we had the honor of working together with one of the most remarkable and influential musicians of our time.
In alliance with Joe Walsh we developed an instrument which not only meets Joe’s requirements for tone, looks and playability but which is aimed to also fit the taste of many other guitar players out there.
The instrument features numerous different details connected to Joe’s style or history. The fretboard inlays spell his name in morsecode, referencing his passion for radio operation.
Being a serious guitarhead himself, he also likes to mess around with the hardware of his guitars, often resulting in weird hardware finish mixes, so for this reason the hardware of the Alliance Joe Walsh is a mix of nickel and gold.
The instrument will be available in a beautiful classic Gold Burst or solid Black finish. According to the main colour, the instrument has a Fullerton Elite Style headstock front in either Gold Burst/Brown or Black/Pearloid.
The Tibetan Knot on the top between both pickups is a symbol of very personal meaning to Joe which he also carries as a tattoo. The guitar features a thin body profile measuring only 3.5cm/1.37″, a regular Duesenberg mid D profile Neck and medium Jumbo frets.A Duesenberg LittleToaster pickup delivers transparent treble tone in the bridge position and the state-of-the-art noise-cancelling Duesenberg SingleTwin Mini gives clear classic neck sounds in any situation. The guitars are equipped with our own Radiator Tremolo which we customized with a golden grill.
Duesenberg Guitars exploded on the scene a few years ago and have been turning heads ever since. These days everyone is playing a Duesey, from Mike Campbell to Bob Dylan to Ronnie Wood. The build quality and price-point are hard to argue with. Here at Sound Pure we always have a healthy stock of Duesenbergs and are happy to special order if our inventory does not suit your needs.
In a unique way Dieter Goelsdorf's Duesenberg design consolidates guitar construction, features and sounds which have written music history. The art deco style design of headstock, pickguard and metal components gives Duesenberg its own eye-catching look, while the body design bases on the old traditional Jazz guitars like being built from the 40s in Europe and in the USA. These design elements are combined with the best possible electric guitar construction values of the 50s: Grand Vintage Alnico pickups, classical Fender scale length plus a Gibson-like fingerboard radius. Most of the vintage-style tailpieces, bridges, tremolos, pickups and controls come with greatly improved details. The light weight plus comfortable position of controls of these stage and studio guitars provide a distinctive playing performance and handling for the most demanding player.
