This Japanese-built D'Aquisto New Yorker is a whole lot of guitar for the money! With original pieces crafted by the master himself fetching tens of thousands on the vintage market, this is about as close as many of us will get to owning an archtop guitar from this historic lineage. The guitar is absolutely stunning with eye-catching appointments and exceptional attention to detail. I really love the veneer and inlay on the back of the headstock and the classic scroll inlay on the front.

New Yorker was James D’Aquisto’s most popular model of the 70’s and it was during this time he established his originality and innovative designs. It features the unique head shape, sound hole and use of ebony for the fingerboard, tailpiece and bridge. The distinctive headstock inlay of the “New Yorker” is a faithful reissue of the original.
