Masterful, artful work, from tailpiece to tuners. Quite an opportunity here, folks! While we've adjusted the price to account for wear and a couple repairs from our luthier, this instrument is as fit and happy for a lifetime of playing as it was when it left Bill Comins' workshop in '06. An incredibly full, rich, dark voice springs to life, acoustically and amplified, from the first note. There's a solid, worn-in feel to the playability that is downright encouraging for both right and left hands. Mr. Comins' work rarely makes it to the used market, particularly not at this price--give us a call to take advantage of this incredible opportunity before someone else does!

Hallmarks of Comins Guitars include precise setup work, comfortable feeling necks, a clear and round high end, punchy mids, and a “broken in” or “old wood” sound. Guided by the works of great makers past and present, Comins has devoted much attention to considering elements such as modeling and graduation of the arched plates, mass of individual components, sound-hole styling and placement, variables in geometric relationships, etc. This progression of fine-tuning has led to deep understanding of how components function in concert, and how they can be manipulated toward a desired result.
