The low strings on this thing could provoke a small earthquake
When I first start playing it, I couldn't stop softly arpeggiating an "A" chord
A, E, A, E, 1, 5, 1, 5. . .I was completely hypnotized
When I started exploring the neck more I snapped out of it, but I still couldn't believe what I was hearing
This guitar sounds ancient!
It's glorious!
The treble is round and warm, the bass is rich and confident but never overwhelming
It's truly worthy of the title "piano cannon"
When we did the video we had to back the mics up halfway across the room to capture its full complexity (ideally, they'd build a cage of mics around me, but in the "quick and dirty" series we always use the same matched pair. I felt like there were strong overtones swirling all around me.)
The extra-thin finish really lets it breathe and the torrefied top with extra-scalloped pre-war bracing gives it a wizened forward thrust that could blow down a barn door

The Traditional or "T" Series guitars reflect Bill Collings' return to his guitar making roots and offer a new tonal variation on the distinctive Collings sound. Each T Series guitar is built using animal protein glue and a very thin all nitrocellulose lacquer finish on the body, making them exceptionally dynamic and responsive. Bracing and tone woods are adjusted for weight and thickness to create a voicing characterized by warm, rounded highs and a present low midrange, while retaining a quick attack and strong projection. Each Traditional series guitar will come with a handmade lightweight Collings case designed and built in the Collings shop.
